*This disclosure is valid from April 2009, and last updated January 2014.*

This blog is written and owned by me. Anything that is written here is my own personal opinion based on my personal experience as a living person and as person with diabetes. This site is meant to be a journal of my life with diabetes, open to the public to read, whether you or someone you know has type 1 diabetes or not.

The information given on www.sugabetic.me is not advice, and should not be treated as such. You must not rely on the information on this blog as an alternative to medical advice from your doctor or other professional healthcare provider. If you have any specific questions about any medical matter you should consult your doctor or other professional healthcare provider. If you think you may be suffering from any medical condition you should seek immediate medical attention. You should never delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice, or discontinue medical treatment because of information on this blog.

Also, any email addresses or any other personal information that is sent to me via contact form is and will remain private and will not be shared in a blog post unless the sender/contact person agrees to let their email/situation/email/anything be shared publicly, such as in the case of asking for some help or advice on a topic that I may not be able to provide. Also, note that the advice or help given will still fall under the disclosure paragraph that any and all advice is not meant to treated as or replace medical advice from a physician.

I will accept and keep any free diabetes related products provided that if, and I probably will, I blog about the said product, I will give my whole-hearted opinion of the product, good or otherwise.

Harvard Pilgrim / WellThen

I have also been asked by Harvard Pilgrim to participate in the “Well, Then” community on a contracted basis from August 2010 until December 2010 and I have been compensated for doing so. Posts that are written or videoed for Harvard Pilgrim and the “Well,Then” community are still property of me and will always be my property. They also do not dictate the content of www.sugabetic.me, nor do they retain any rights to the content of www.sugabetic.me.

Medtronic Diabetes /  Minimed – The LOOP Blog

I have been given the opportunity to be a part of Minimed’s blog, The LOOP Blog. After speaking with the PR department and sharing several emails, and getting some other legal stuff squared away, we now have a formal contract in place that states I will post once a month for them. In exchange for these posts, I have been provided a Minimed Revel insulin pump as well as a box of sensors free of charge, and are mine to keep. They do not reserve any rights to what I post here on my blog about their product, but they do, however reserve that right to what I send in for their blog. This contract is in place from 7/29/2011 until 7/29/2012.

If any of you have any questions regarding anything in this disclosure, please use the “contact me” link at the top and fill out the submission form and I’ll reply back to you as soon as possible.

Thank You!

  2. Wishing you the best of health, always. Nice blog. Celebrated my 40th year since diagnosis with an ice cream party on April 14th. Over a 100 people were there. It was great. Dexcom and Omnipod kept me in check.

Keep on truckin’. (Who even talks that way anymore, other than old hippies.) Hmmmmm.

  3. Hey Suga,
